Has anyone ever used these Dyna Beads.
What do you think

My buddy and I have put some in our tires to give them a try.
Have read a lot of good things about these Dyna Beads.
Of course....You can't believe everything you read.
I.ve been up over 100 mph on my Nomad with these things in my tires.......Smooth as ice.....
I guess also that if your tires are well balanced to begin with...Your ride would be smooth anyway.
I'm thinking these beads will keep my tires balanced all the time for the life of the tire and possibly having the tire wear less and last longer.
I don't know...we'll see.

I just mounted a new front tire and decided to give them a try. Took the old weights off the rim and put the beads in. Ride is as smooth as glass.

I put two new Metzlers on the Nomad about 4 weeks ago. Gave the shop two bags of DynaBeads and told them not to put on any wheel weights. They are freinds of mine and while looking out for me they went ahead and balanced the wheels, one weight had over an ounce of lead on it. I showed up to pick up the wheels and told them to take the weights off. They were skeptical and very concerned for my sanity. Gotta tell you, the bike is as smooth as glass with those little beads in the wheels. I've read the explanation and it still does not make sense, all I know is that they work. Go for it.

I bought 5 ounces, 2 for the front and 3 for the rear (CT), a couple of weeks ago, but haven't put them in yet. *sigh* added to the list of projects I never have time for ...too busy riding.

Are they pricey?
Added the beads with new 880's about six months ago on my 1400 Intruder. After several thousand miles still riding smooth.
Just installed new Metzlers on my Nomad and added Dyna Beads. Until something better comes along, this is my answer to wheel balancing.

Not really Pricey.....I used 2oz for the front and 2oz for the back.
There was a distributor(motorcycle shop) in Corpus Christi, TX. that sold them in 2oz packets.
I paid less than $12 total (including the dispensor for going thru a valve stem).
Not too pricey.

If you use the beads do you always take off the wheel weights?
Or, can you just leave them on to.

I would take off any weights.
I installed a car tire on the rear a while (3000 miles) ago. I took off the weights, aligned the low weight marker on the tire with the valve stem and tried it out as is. I wasn't able to discern any vibration at speeds up to 75. I rode it that way about a month and never was able to feel any out of balance condition. I then went ahead and put in two ounces of Dyna beads. It still feels totally balanced. When I replace my front tire, I will again remove the weights and go with the Dyna beads.
