Well since my Nomad has been parked do to a very bald back tire. i waited too long to order a new back tire and its not here yet. Now that i dont have my bike all this stuff around the house is getting done. Mowed the yard. Washed all my laundry dishes, fixed the toilette. Even stared to polish the chrome on the nomad. i even washed the dog(against his will). funny how the nomad is able to take up that time and attention. I need my bike back!

dont let this happen to you! its not worth it.

I'm sorry we let you down man. Friends don't let friends do chores.

Funny thing; my Nomad is fine, and yet here I am doing chores all day (Saturday). But I'll make up for it tommorrow riding with several thousand of my biker friends around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Think I can get 'er up to 220 mph? It will be fun trying.

That sounds like a fun thing to do. We attended the Brickyard 400 several years ago.

Hey Brian, I would think that there must be some kind of therapy to help you get through these tough times. Don't take it out on the poor dog, he will get even when you least expect it.

I shiver at the thought. Chores are what God created children for...

Kind of reminds me of a scene I rode past one day. A husband and wife were out doing yard work and as the husband was holding a rake in his hand and I rode by he stopped working and his eyes followed me. I could just about read his mind; "damn! I want to go out and play with the other boys too" Hang in there. I brought my Valkyrie to a local Yamaha dealer and they were supposed to order the tire and mount it, but when I brought my bike in they found out they had ordered the wrong tire and my rear tire was in really bad shape. I had gotten to know the manager pretty well and they gave me an '05 Road Star Silverado to ride for the long three day weekend. Even though my procrastination was rewarded I did miss out by half an hour of getting an '06 Stratoliner for the weekend

This is why I keep spare tires in the garage. I've got a new front and a good used rear there right now.

I don't want a stupid nail or a glass cut to ruin my life for a week.

Caddman, always thinking ahead. It's amazing how long it can take to get a motorcycle tire sometimes. That's why I kept my Meanstreak when I bought the Nomad.I have a backup.

Yeah, I remember walking into Target in Ogden Utah and buying a new tire for my Yamaha 180 for $16. You can't do that anymore. And Nomad tires are usually available at my local dealer, which is only 10 miles away, but he wants $40 more per tire than I can buy online for.

Clawson is the local dealer for 5 major brands now, and they run the place like they've got a monopoly on the local motorcycle business.

Nobody around here seems to stock them for Nomads, and whitewalls are even harder to come by. I ordered on at the dealer in Aug, it arrived in Feb. Lucky I wasn't in a hurry.

Oh, well you couldn't get a whitewall here, and they only stock one brand for the Nomad.

No, I lie.... It was for a Goldwing. That's when I figured out that a Goldwing tire would fit on a Nomad.

They didn't actually have a Nomad tire at all.

I have to keep up with the chores, otherwise my wife will bathe the dog AND me in the front yard http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif. After the chores are finished in record time, I hit the road.!! Heaven at last !!

PS The difference between me and the dog is the dog has a longer tail. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
