Is there a adjustment on the switch by the rear brake for the cruise control and if there is how is it done? mine keeps stop working and I spray it with WD40 and it works again but it has done this several times and happening more frequently. Thank you for any info you can give.

I'm confused. Which switch are you spraying and how does it stop working? In other words, give a narrative of events that explain the problem and temporary solution.

The switch you are looking for is underneath the floorboard mounted under a cover on the floorboard mount, there is an adjustment there and also a steel "spring" that acts on the small button to disengage the cruise when the brake pedal is pushed, that little button often gets dirty and that is what you have to spray, I also had to adjust the spring tension slightly on mine to get it working again.

Sounds like the brake light switch. The cruise control should disengage if either brake is engaged or the clutch. I wonder if it needs a new switch (if it takes WD40 to get it to work right)?

The switch is located near the rear brake light switch. It is C in the picture. Couldn't find a lrager picture. It's near or under the floorboard from the service manual description.

That would be interesting if they had a separate switch. I wonder why they would do that? My bike it's like that.

Yep, C in the picture is the one I was referring to as well. My cruise was not engaging, a little spray lubricant and small adjustment and all is well.

I tightened the screw slightly, you have to undo the locknut, in order to see the micro switch you have to look under the floorboard, that picture is with the floorboard taken off.
