Is there any way of wiring my Zumo 550 with the Garmin kit that came with it to take advantage of the wiring under the radio. I don't want to put out another 3-400$ for the Kawi accessory Garmin kit.
thanks in advance.
Sorry should have clarified. I did run power using the accessory wires under the fairing at this point, but there are also specific wires under the fairing for the GPS that take advantage of speakers, and that is what I am looking for. Is there a way of integrating my GPS to use the speakers with the regular Zumo mount.

I wired my 550 back direct to the battery by running it under the tank. This was with the original zummo 550 MC mount and wiring kit. I liked the fact the the unit stayed on till I shut it down. I now have the Zummo 390 and it's wired the same way. Hope this helps

I did the same thing with my 550 - wired right to battery so it stays on while refueling or other brief stops. I also wanted the mount off to the side so I could still see my playlists in the dash. Just had to buy a larger U bolt for the vaquero bars which are larger diameter. 7008

There is a accessory circuit pair of wires inside your fairing put there for add on accessories owners may want. If you pull the headlight and get access to inside the fairing, you'll see a pair of wires about midway up on the right side (facing the headlight hole from the front of the bike). I used a car charging plug for my Garmin and kept the 'guts' of the plug, then gained access to the power and ground wires inside it, keeping the power circuitry (which are not 12VDC) in line to the charging circuit of the GPS. secure the wires inside the fairing with tywraps and run it from there down through the a couple of holes in the fairing that come out just in front of your handlebars. Tywrap that wire to the wire bundles on teh bars and up to your GPS mount. Hidden, effective and clean.

I don't know about the 550 Garmin but the 660 when wired to the aux wires behind the headlight has a screen that comes up when it loses power that asks if you want it to shut down or stay on, I like it this way so as not to drain the battery. There are wires up and to the right when the headlight is out, two double ended wires with clear vinyl covers one power and one ground.

My Zumo 550 only shows that screen when I take it out of the hard wired holder.

I got larger u bolt at local hardware store for a couple bucks. Cut the length down so they wouldn't hit dashboard and locking nuts just cleared the end. Also bought black shrink tubing normally used for wiring and slipped over ubolt. Looks much better black and won't nick you're handlebar chrome up...

Good morning, I will clarify again. There are accessory wires you can use, which is what I have done so far, My question is does anyone know if it's possible to use the GPS wiring under the fairing to get my Audio out the radio with my Zumo 550.
