Today while leaving work I backed out of my space pulled in the clutch popped into 1st (have to make a sharp left turn) no big deal I have done this at least 100 times. Start moving pull my left foot up and I must have hit the heel shifter into neutral because when I let out the clutch with a small amount of throttle ....too late I was going to slow in a turn to recover and the bike rolled over . The bars did their thing and only a small scratch on the bottom of the rear bar but , the bad part is I had an audience of one . I popped it right back up and he asked me if I was okay and all I could do was bust out out laughing. How embarrasing . Oh well, she's mine now.

Ride safe

sh*t happens, be thankful it was just a bit embarrassing, and you don't have a big repair bill.

Hah. The only audience I had when I put mine on its side was the wife and she was on the back. Pulled into a gravel lot when it was drizzling and when I tried to back up out went the foot.

I've done this--I was in the wrong gear actually, stalled, and dropped it at zero MPH in a full-lock turn.

Them crash bars work pretty good for that stuff, hey?

Dropped mine in front of 30 members of a Motorcycle club - embarassing! Also in a parking lot in pouring rain - that sucked. Thanks Ma Kaw for those engine guards
Glad it turned out ok for you too Dan

Wolfman, there's a third kind, those that have dropped it AGAIN http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Saturday I was riding with a group up in the Smokey MTS. on a road that goes thru the Nantahala River valley, was making a left turn into a restaurant while on a steeply banked curve. I had to stop for a car to pass, and when I put my foot down, there wasn't any road there. By the time my foot contacted the road http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif(which by this time was behind me near the saddlebag) the bike was already leaning WAY over, and with the weight of the bike and wife, I couldn't stop it from tipping on over. On that incline of the banked curve, it was laying there almost up-side down :(. The only damages were a scratched left saddlebag handle and guard bar, and the left top of the fairing right above the speaker on the outside http://s2.images.proboards.com/angry.gif:(" title=">:(" border="0"/>. The worst part was that I had about 200 spectators :-[.
But like the saying goes............$hit Happens! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I did the same thing, but in my backyard, in the grass no damage. I was lucky. Moving from a 500 lb bike to an 800 lb bike was quite a change, I was use to being able to lean the bike to get it to move in slow or walking turns, but now I know better. The best advice I could give anyone moving up to a bike with this much weight is "AT SLOW OR WALKING SPEEDS, ALWAYS KEEP THE BIKE VERTICAL". I still have to remind myself of this when backing in or out of a parking place, or backing out of my garage.

I've done it in the parking lot at work. Also tried to move my bike one time in the garage, you know just back it up a few feet . well I stood it up and was on the left side and the weight shifted away from me. That bike will pull you right to the floor with it. My wife damn near pee'd her pants.
