Took the baby in for its 600 mile service. No comments from anyone at the service center on all the noise the engine makes.
Guess its just me,but the engine sounds like a little guy inside the crank case with a hammer while idling.
New bike with new noises i guess. I just find it hard to believe that all of the noises i hear are normal.
Anybody out there feel the same.? Is it just me?

I posted this for another member who asked the same question, and it seemed to take care of his concerns.

This is a clip of some parking lot practice that I posted on Youtube. I didn't know how to edit, so at the beginning and end (when I'm pulling up to the camera to turn it on and off) it gets the motor noise pretty clearly.

If yours sounds anything like that, it's just how they are, which is pretty noisy. You get used to it, you really do.

The mic picked it up pretty good. You can get a decent indication at the end when the fan kicks on, and gauge how loud the fan is to the rest of the noise.

What you may be hearing is the cold air solenoids clicking & clacking away. To cure the problem, buy yourself a full face helmet. I guarantee the noise will go away....-Rich
