Does anyone use AMA instead of AAA? Is ROK a good replacement for either of those? My AAA ran out and I was going to go with AMA's version until I saw ROK.

AMA supports your rights as a motorcycle rider.
That alone is enough of a reason to belong.
If you have them take your membership automatically from your credit card each year you get free roadside assistance.

If you have unlimited financial resources then belong to all 3, but I think AMA is the best one to belong to.

What rights are those? Where can I read them.

Ok but I dont have unlimited financial resources lol

So for anyone that may have had both, which is a better deal for practical purposes... i.e. which gives more free miles if you need towed. Things like this. I've looked online at both and see no specifics so I need to do some calling around. But was hoping maybe others have done some of this already and could chime in with which they are happiest with.

What rights are those? Where can I read them.

You could read them in the AMA monthly publication American Motorcyclist that you would get with your membership.
They go to court when necessary to fight motorcycle specific road blocks.
They fight to keep land public so you can ride your off road bikes there.
They fight mandatory helmet laws so you have the right to choose to have the wind in your hair :tehe:
If you like I could send you one of my magazines and you could read it and see for yourself.

Right now they are fighting to prevent E85 fuel from becoming mandatory in gas stations, among other things.

But those are not "rights".

You make it sound like you have to be a member of VBA and ROK to get the KAWKash, which isn't the case. Just sayin

You do have to be a ROK member to get the cash card, but not necessarily a member of VBA. I sent in my info last week and got an email earlier this week that my gift card was on its way.

Just as a follow-up my gift card arrived today. It's a $500 MasterCard gift card which can be used anywhere so this was a really good deal for us. It will almost pay for the Corbin seat that was bought for the Concours.

I just spoke with Kawasaki as I was told by a person at ROK Last week that I didn't qualify. I purchased my new Voyager on May 8th. The gentleman I just spoke with assured that May 1 is correct. he also stated that turn around is usually less than 2 weeks.

Thanks.

How long did it take you guys that purchased a membership to get anything?

I bought mine 8 days ago and haven't received any type of confirmation about anything... except for the charge on my credit card.
