Went off this morning with a full tank of fuel and rode about 1 1/2 hours (75 miles) before stopping. No numbness or soreness in the butt. Finished the day out with about 6 hours riding and 240 miles. Most of my riding was a good even mix of secondary highways with speeds of 50-60 mph and interstate riding at 70 mph and country roads at 40-55 mph and finally city riding at varied speeds. After about 4 hours riding with about a total of 1 hour not riding, my upper thighs/butt were getting sore and if I stopped for a few minutes and got back on I could go about another 1/2 hour. If I stopped longer I could ride longer. The increase in overall comfort is significant in that the numbness I experienced with the OEM seat was eliminated. I am 5'10" tall and weigh about 260 lbs. The upper part of butt would go numb after about 30-45 minutes of riding with the OEM seat and now my upper thighs/lower butt gets numb/sore after about 4 hours riding. While not perfect, the Mustang is well worth the cost to me. During all this riding I only put my feet up on the highway pegs a couple short minutes. If my riding was mostly interstate I feel that my riding endurance would be extended to 8-10 hours covering 400-600 miles. That will be my next evaluation of my Mustang seat on this forum.

I'm the same height as you, but about 50 lbs lighter. I think the stock seat is pretty comfortable for me, but I found that the plastic seat pan was deflecting under my weight. I added some more rubber bumpers under it for support to the frame, and it seems even more comfortable to me now. It fits my butt really well, but the foam is a bit soft. I will eventually have the foam re-done, but I don't see a Mustang in my future.

Then again, I love to ride, but I've been all over hell and back and I don't really like to travel as much as I used to. There's only a couple times a year I go ride for 300 miles in one day.

700 miles on my new Mustang Seat...

Weekend trip with my Florida Forum. First chance to really ride distance with the Mustang seat. I also use an Alaska Sheepskin Butt Pad for additional comfort. Verdict: Great ride, very comfortable, no butt or back pain. Resting my feet on the highway pegs put me very comfortable in the seat. No complaints and a BIG improvement from the stocker.

This was a good warm up for the Eastern Forum Ride which is about 1100 miles from Naples to Elkins.

I had a mustang on my Volusia. I had nearly 40,000 on it. So far the stock Nomad seat has been fine for me. But, if I find I need to replace the seat I wouldn't think twice about buying a Mustang. I did an Iron Butt ride on the Mustang and could have gone further (1040 miles in 18.5 hours). Plus multiple 800 mile days and serverl 500+ miles days.

Went riding with a group today and one of the guys had a Mustang seat on his Boulevard C50. He says its a lot better than the stock saddle. Ive heard nothing bad about them yet. There may be one in my future,

That's exactly what I would have done to my OEM seat Rich, but I just don't have the resources; you know us delivery drivers, we just have enough smarts to get the product in the tank and that's it

I had a Mustang Seat on my Vulcan 900 Classic LT. The bike I had before I got my Nomad.
The Mustang Seat was a great seat...I could ride all day and the ars would not complain.
Loved the seat.....I was most certain that I would also need a Mustang seat for my Nomad when I got it. However...So Far...I have been happy with the Stock seat on my nomad....I do have a Grasshopper Backrest coming.
I'm going to ride this Nomad stock for a while.

My Mustang seat arrived on Saturday, along with the Phat II risers. Installed them both and only got to ride about 70 miles total this weekend. I am very happy with both. Nice support for my lower back and the risers eliminate the feeling of leaning forward over the tank.

I was suprised how hard it was to actually install the Mustang. I had one on my Suzuki C50 and it was a breeze to take on/off. On the Nomad, its a PITA to get the bolts installed. Have to really push the seat foam forward to get the bolt aligned.
