Greetings fellow baggers,
After recently purchasing my Vaquero I decided that I wanted to use my MP3 player for my music enjoyment. Going through the backroads of Oregon makes listening to broadcast radio annoying.
Buying a simple cable from the factory for 50 bucks is not my style so I went on the hunt for the component parts needed~
I found the end connector here: B3AP 3 pin female connector (http://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=229&category_id=58)
I then bought an 1/8th inch cable here: 12 inch cable (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=13262296&umt_content=CT4379539&umt_campaign=Category_CMS&umt_source=CAT&umt_medium=RSCOM)
Got the cable locally, so no shipping cost there, I did have to pay shipping for the connector unfortunately (7 bucks). Total cost for the parts: $15.00 shipping costs are included.
I then snipped of the one end of the cable, stripped the covering off 1 1/2 inches, soldered the pins onto the wires (red one, black one and a silver ground) I fiddled with them so as to find which wire went where before I snapped them into the connector I bought.
Here is a graphic to show where I finally put the wires:

I hope this helps! :yep:
Safe rides to all~
