From Nomad1600's post in the groups section. We had a nice ride up to, on, and back down the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday.
Todd and I took a 100+ mile ride today on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just thought we would share some pics with everyone.

Ok I'm jealous now - I was born and raised in Asheville NC and yet I have to live in this FLAT< HOT< hellish place. Enjoy - my heart is with you in my beloved mountians

My neighbour has been on the Blue ridge Parkway, and says I have to do it some day.He really enjoyed it. Ive had my Nomad three seasons now and have yet to ride with another Nomad. Yes they are a beautiful sight.

Thanks for the riding offers. I really want to ride in my mountians but not this year. Gonna stay closer to Texas and go ride the Ozarks. But one of these days I'll bring the bike home with me on it!!!
Looks like you had the best possible weather for it too. Nice photos guys.

The Blus Ridge Pky is a BLASt,, KILLER views,, Ill be the in June Again 3rd year.. we go to www.naturalbridgeva.com (http://www.naturalbridgeva.com) ....Ill be heade to Fla first then up to Greenville NC, (I think is Greenville ) it Green something LOL......the take the Blue Ridge pky to NB,,,,,,,
HOW far are you GUYs form the Blue Ridge???I may spend a day or 2 in NC......Rich
I am about 60-70 miles...Nomad 1600 is about 15 or 20

DID you say FREE BEER???? I send you my Cell..ALSO How far from Releigh are you??? Is MD less the 8hr ride from Greenboro??? Ill have to see my time frame and route from Fla.....ALSO FEEL FREE to JOIN us in NB,, the group will be there June 14/21..Ill be there around the 16/17...So if any of you are interested let me know..WE GET a DISCOUNT on the ROOMs... its a good group.Been Meeting up with alot of them since 04..... and there will be BEER and BBQ as well.........Ill drop a BM now ...... If it's Greenville, that's where I am Radco. Let me know which one it is. The Eastern Rally is June 19-22 so we will be heading out of the Greensboro area on the 18th. Maybe we can all hook up while you're in NC. Keep us posted.

Raleigh is about 65 miles...I am there 2-3 times a week.....let us know.

NB means Natural Bridge ::) Im so used to using NB with the group Im meeting I forgot that I wasnt on that forum .Ah can I say I had a Dee Dee Dee moment http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif.. I try and leave a day open for a meet and greet in NC.. Hey for FREE BEER Ill do ALL MOST anything http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif.. Maybe I can fit in 1 day at the rally.... or at least a day or 2 before, Maybe ride towards the rally and catch the Parkway along the way.. Man I need more vacation time,3 weeks isnt enough. :'( Rich

If you head down in JUNE,, I get together with a GROUP in Natural Bridge Va.. www.naturalbridgeva.com (http://www.naturalbridgeva.com) a good lay over spot.and if Time frame is right and you want company we can head down 1600 way..... I ride from MAINE (BANGOR AREA) to Va. Lets make it HAPPEN,, from Inverness Fla its about 10hrs to Greensboro and alittle more to Greenville.. SO THAT will make a Good REST Stop.. BUT I can ONLY Stop there if the BEER is COLD ::) I been through greenville to see my father in Edenton,,,he move North a few years ago.... KAWGIRL is GREENVILLE??? NC is a STOP OVER....
I mapquested my ride from Fla,, Either way Im around 10hrs to NC,, FROM Greenville Im 4 hr from Natural bridge Va..
GREENSBORO Im about 2... MY Natural Bridge Meet ends Saturday the 21.. SO I am PLANNING on GREENVILLE as of now,,, MAYBE ride with you to Greenboro.... do a Meet and Greet and shoot to NB.. about 2 hrs slabbing it.I prefer going to NB the Blus Ridge,, you figure 4/5hrs to NB Va. by the parkway??
ALSO any INFO on HOTELs in Greenville? Prefer 1st floor so I can see my Bike ::).. nothing fancy just do want the Roaches BIGGER the the NOMAD.... http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif THANKs ..Rich
