Welcome to the VBA forum.
First off what year of bike, how long have you had it, was it always doing this, when was the last clutch fluid flush and change?

I just put in new springs friction plates and a Barnett springplate bled the system an that's what I got prettystiff clutch lever an wants to engadge as soon as I just start releasing the lever from the bar 1999 nomad 1500

Make sure its bled well, so the clutch gets full travel.

Yeah. Sounds like you have some air in your line. Re bleed the clutch slave cylinder. Should do the trick.

But it's still gonna be stiff with an earlier engagement point.

The Barnett is thicker, this will move the engagement point, not to mention take more force to squeeze the lever.

Just did mine a few weeks ago with the Barnett. Same issue and it has loosened up slightly but not much. You will get used to the extra pull and quick release. I have stalled twice now pulling out, when I never did that before. The bike really goes now and will pull out or get up and go when needed!

Yep..what the big guy's say !

The Barnett will require about twice as much "grip-force" to disengage the clutch..squeeze the lever ALL The Way to the grip..and be prepared for the clutch to engage With AUTHORITY..as you release the lever !

Ok, first post on here. Getting frustrated! 07 1600 Nomad. Had a seal get into the engine bay and had to take her apart. Cleaned out clutch master and made sure piston is in good shape. The piston is moving and working correctly on the master and slave sides. The push rod isn't moving. Any ideas?
