Here you go..

Overall, I like the looks, its not much bigger it seems, but I can only say that until I spend time in the seat, its hard to tell if it will be more comfortable really. It certainly is nicer looking, and he modified my cheap-o grasshopper backrest and it looks much nicer, and I have heat installed. I went with a basketweave on the rear (I won't be using it), but it looks nice.

What do you think?

Looks great, look forward to a comfort report. Was the gap on the tank that large before?

Looks great.
The seat doesn't quite cover the tank cover though
It does look a little wider
Let us know how it feels on a ride.

I talked to seth today( he said his cell was stolen and thats why he never answered my texts)
he will be shipping mine in the next couple of days.

I guess, as of right now, my only complaint would be the gap in the front, and the fact that the mod he made to the backrest looks better, but you can feel the bolts directly under the vinyl on the back of the seat. It should have had a little bit of a pad or something to recess the bolt heads a little. Right now, I think they will end up poking though the back of the seat once I mount my Roll-bag up to the back, and it vibrates down the road.

Well I guess the real acid test will be how it feels on a long ride

Seth said Mine will ship tomorrow and I should have it by the weekend
so we will see how mine fits

Who did your seat and how much did it cost. I shopped around what I wanted to do with my seat and the cost everyone gave me was well over $600. I was wanting to dig some foam out so I could sit further back, and recover it in black diamond tuck.

Seth Laam (Laamseats.com) did the seat. With heat, he charged me $374 OTD. The price was fantastic, and he did re-do my backrest so it matched at no cost really. The seat (a solo job, meaning no rear-foam replaced) was $299, plus about $65 or so for the heating unit. I wanted to sit further back, but I am not convinced I am really doing so. However, the seat does feel very comfortable, so I am not complaining, just hard since I can not do a "side-by-side" comparison. I have been without a seat for a while.....

From the looks of the seating area it sure does seem as if it is sculpted out better to fit your, as Forest Gump said, "buttocks"!

I got me a Corbin Gunfighter seat a few months ago, so far the most comfy of all the seats I have had. Not perfect but nowhere near as much butt pain as the others.

Yesterday I ordered a couple of pairs of padded m/c underwear from Zone performance wear, hopefully will have them b4 this weekends ride.

Let us know how the seat feels.

Will be very interested to hear how the seat performs on a long ride. I assume you had it move you back a bit since you are tall?
I did a lot of measuring on the stock seat and recently took a chance ordering a slightly modified young guns seat from Corbin. I really like the look of this seat and have a friend with a similar one on his Harley. He loves it and has done numerous long rides with me. I was able to design this seat to my own tastes and even have the Corbin logo in orange to match the bike. It will be at least 6 weeks before it arrives, but at least we will be riding by then so I can post comments and pics. $439 plus $40 shipping to Niagara Falls, NY.
Keep us posted Dave!

$439 sounds cheap actually, I thought they were more than that.....good luck either way with the corbin, I will try this out this summer, and who knows, maybe after everyone has had a bit more experience to tap into with some of the new offerings we will know what works the best. Keep us posted!
