Has anyone figured out a good way to bungee things to the passenger seat on the vaquero? I would prefer not to put a sissy bar on it, but with the formed rear fender can't see a good way to do it.

Its funny you say that. I just purchased a soft trunk for mine, and I will be making a simple rack to attach it to since I have been unable to find what I want, let alone for a reasonable price. I will post pics once I get it done, its got to warm up a bit first!

I use the mounting bracket for the KQR quick release backrest. Unfortunately not everyone has that.

Before I put on my trunk I used to use a good sturdy back pack that had the waist buckle. Secured back pack to the rear seat, attached the seat. I used one of those hiking packs from walmart.
I have been thinking about ordering this for under seat mounting points.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Dave, I would love to see what you come up with when you get it done. Still cold here as well (Southern Ontario).
Chris - I've been thinking I'd install the KQR brackets whether or not I get a sissy bar right away, so that might be the solution. Not sure what it looks like once installed, but if its working for you, might be a solution.
Outlaw - that might also be a great option. I have compression straps I use for backpacking/canoe tripping. They are flat webbing, would probably slip right in place and cinch down nicely. Great idea!
JT - Nice product, and I think well worth the price. I'll have to see if I can source it in Canada, or what the shipping would cost from the states. I have saddlemen bags on my current scoot, and they are a nice product.
Thanks for the ideas, great help!

I assume your seat comes off the same as my Voyager, quick and easy with a key? Pop it off and put the bungees under it.

Greg, I am supposed to get my new seat on Monday, as soon as I do, I am going to start thinking about how I want to mount that soft trunk. If I come up with anything I will let you know, I got a Neslon-Rigg bag thats pretty good size, I may see if I can squeeze a small roll-pack on there too. It should be interesting!
Greg, I ordered the versa mount this a.m. from amazon. Once I get it I will let you know how it works out for me. Heck at 25 bucks I figure that it is worth a shot... Not to mention if it does not work out an Vicki I can always try it on Shadow.

Sorry I've been absent, Thanks all for the advice. I put the KQR mounts on, that way I can bungee, or use a backrest in the future if I need it. Pretty creative group we have here, great ideas!

I have this. It works great and keeps a nice clean look to the bike.

This has helped me a lot. I was a little worried about carrying luggage on my upcoming trip. Didn't want to spend $500 on a sissy bar, so I ordered the under seat mounting points. Thanks guys

that is one of a few reasons why I put the KQR backrest and luggage rack on mine. Pretty spendy stuff but real good quality and the rack makes it easy to bungee stuff on it.
