So I have been toying with the idea of throwing an air ride suspension on my Vaquero but no one makes one for the bike...my question for those that have done it is what customization did it require? If the shocks are the same length as my stock ones wouldn't anyone work..I know the mounting sleeves might be a little off but what else am I missing???

The Vaquero rear shocks aren't the same as the Nomad? I thought they both had air.

I saw a Mean Streak with air ride suspension at the dealer where I bought my Nomad back in 2007. I asked about it, but I can't remember who they said made the components.
I don't know of anyone on this forum who has attempted it.

The air pumps are small that you can buy. The problem is the air tank. The smallest tank that I've seen is about a foot long. You would have to put it in a saddle bag. I have an air pump from a project that I did some years ago and it's 7" tall x 5 " wide. I think it was for a truck air horn.
You'll have to piece together the parts. As I said the tank will be the largest part.

Go to a drag bike parts supplier
Like star racing they have air tanks for airshifters that are small and light
There have been at least two members (rekogniz1 and ridedaily) who have bagged their Vaq's... See some of their tips and some photos in this thread here (http://vulcanbagger.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32572).
You could check all their posts to see if there are any more, and maybe PM them for details.
