Wed I was wet sanding scratches out of my tank. Getting it ready for paint. Like a HD rider I left the water hose on the tank for about 15 minutes.

Surprise surprise it wouldn't start.

This is the third time this bike has done this to me. Once at work after a torrential rain, 2nd in Myrtle Beach after a torrential rain, and the cover blew off during the storm, and Wed.

After letting it dry out overnight, still no start. After spend 5-6 hours chasing connections and regreasing them, still no start.

So this morning, still no start.

Overnight I read Roadhawgs' comment in a thread about having the same problem and changing the plugs.

So after putting in four new Champion 810s, it F'n started.

Thanks Roadhawg.

The spark system must be so sensitive on these that it doesn't take much to cause a problem.

Well the new wires and end caps will be here Monday.

The deep sockets surrounding the plugs hold water and short out the plugs. This too happened to me one time. I just pulled them dried out the holes and plug caps and all was good.
