I got my new avon grips today and thought I would do a little right up on my throttle mod
The avon grips come with a interchangeable cam so it will work on various models and that makes the hole process much easier.

I got a 1 1/4 pvc cap from the hardware store for 2 bucks and sawed the end off of it the same thickness as the throttle cam then cut the circle to fit

after the first rough cut I sanded the ring to the same thickness as the cam

After I was happy with the thickness I used the superglue that came with the grips to glue all the pieces together and did a final sand

all done

you will need to loosen the cable adjusters and i ended up sanding some off of the outside of the new cam to get clearance put it all back together and adjust the cables

There is no big secret here. This is all a throttle mod is
As you can see this is as easy as it gets I honestly think it is harder to get the old tube out and install the new one than it is to do this mod
So why would you pay someone to do the easy part and you would still be left with the hard part?
