View Full Version : Mods Complete
Well the Nomad is back on the road now with the latest mods complete. The fairing in on with the new screen. The luggage rack complete with trunk/backrest/top rack is done. I have also re-positioned the licence plate with a new LED strip light. I have mounted a LED running/brake strip light beneath the trunk for additional visibility. I liked the stock pas ssenger grab rails, so when they were removed for the new rack/trunk, I made some new ones from polished stainless steel to maintain the look.http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h69/nomad1600/fairing1copy.jpg

I have used a 7x5 plate. Not had any problems with the law. I think you are ok unless you go rediculously small, like some I have seen. It is plain to see, well lit at night and doesnt look like I am taking the pi**

I'd like to know how high in inches is your windshield, and did you guys notice how his top rails on the bag attach to the frame and not to the bags themselves? Nice work Phot!

Beautiful piece of machinery. Hard work, TLC, and a great imagination really show their colors.
...did you guys notice how his top rails on the bag attach to the frame and not to the bags themselves?...
Looks to me that they do both. Zoom in on that last photo a bit.

I see what you mean, it looks like the inner side is fixed to the frame and outer edge bolted through the saddlebags, so i guess it saves drilling 4 holes in the top of the saddle bags.
I wonder who made the caliper covers?

Are those tombstone lights on your bags Kuryakyns? They look great.
Good job http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Ride safe,

Yeah, I like the tombstones too.

Yes the lights are Kuryakyn. The curvature of the light is very close to that of the bag, very slightly different but the rubber gasket under the light takes care of it.
