Has anyone found any place to buy the KQR backrest and luggage rack other that the dealer or straight from Kawi? Or, has anyone found an aftermarket set? I like the removable option, but the backrest is a bit short and...well, blah, and the luggage rack seems a bit small.
Also looking for other driving lights that fit in the fairing.

You read my mind! Thinking the same thing. I need room for my sevroc ride and I can not see packing a weeks worth of gear in my two bags. If you find a good aftermatket solution let me know.....I haven't!

Ebay...I got the KQR backrest and mounts delivered to door for less than $500.
Not cheap but much less than at the stealership.

As much shopping as I do on Amazon, I didn't even think about that, great idea. Didn't think about Ebay either. Thanks!

I am hoping to get my seat done as soon as possible
Then I want to build a quick release backrest luggage rack
I don't know about producing them, but I'm sure I can build at least one :yep:
I am actually thinking about 2.
one with a backrest luggage rack and one with just a backrest with a cowl to cover the back seat.

I really wish they didn't put two holes in the rear fender that need to be covered up. It makes it impossible to put a solo seat on and leave the fender exposed. The OEM solo seat and luggage rack combo isn't bad, but pricey..

I am WAY to cheap to by one of those
I am hoping to approach the problem from a different direction
I have a couple of handlebar orders plus my own bars to finish up then I hope to get started on the backrest design
