What is the deal with some of the words in the text being highlighted and underlined?
It is annoying and I would like to know how to stop it.
Are others having this problem or is it a setting on my computer?

I didn't really think it was a silly question.
Apparently it was some kind of spyware which I got rid of on my own.
But thank you guys for all the helpful info :ohno:

Generally, it's adware although there are some sites that use it as "legitimate" (for pay) advertising. Try going to a forum that you're not registered at. If you see it, try registering. Most of the time, it will go away. Some admins/moderators think it's a good idea. I don't.

Is it doing it on this site on your computer Chris?

I went to the Victory forum which I am registered on and it is not doing it there.
Must be something to do wit this site.

Not on this one nor on the VOG. I've had it on a couple Bla er forums until I either registered or signed in. If it's doing it here, it's your computer. Try running both Spybot and Malawarebytes.

It either misspelled or, needs some other attention. Right click on the word, and it will give you options to repair.

Not a spell check thing, I know what that looks like believe me. :D
The words have two lines under them and if I clicked on them it would take me to a definition of the word or an advertisement depending on the words.
Does not seem to be doing it today. Maybe I skipped my meds yesterday :wtf:

You have to be careful of those "other" sites you frequent TC. They are infiltrating your computer with viruses, ad-trackers, and other information-stealing stuff.

Soon there will be another TC running around buying property and Apple products in Abu Dhabi, destroying your credit-score. :D

There are add trackers or spy bots on here, type in say battery tender into a post and next thing you know there is a add banner for that product at the top of the page.
