Help! - Update

About 6 hours into the bafflectomy. Thanks to everyone who replied with suggestions. The right silencer tube now rotates freely in the exhaust and moves in and out about 1/4 inch. Yet it still will not budge beyond that point. I think the vertical baffle plate has come loose and is rotating with the silencer tube attached. The left side will have to wait another day. But I will not be denied! Stay tuned...

I think a slide hammer would be a big help in getting these out.

I had trouble getting the baffle out of the second pipe. I just kept trying different things with it and it finally gave up. Good luck.

I had trouble with my first one.
I clamped a pair of Vice Grips on the edge of the baffle to be removed and pried it out with a screwdriver.

Don't let that sucker win!!!! Grab it and pull like you've never pulled before.

Shove a grappeling hook in there, cable the other end to your truck and forget about it.
