Hi All,
I've tried 4 places since Tuesday for some Aeromach risers and no one has them in stock. The usual answer is 4-6 weeks backordered.

I am thinking about going with the Phat risers instead. Scootworks recommended the Phat II's and said something about an offset? Are there two holes to choose from the base of the risers?

What are the odd's I am gonna have to reroute cables? I don't know that I want them bad enough to tackle that!

Thanks,
SuperDuty

You will not have to reroute cables at all...I have them..you will only need to remove the lower "clip" that holds the cables tighter to the handle bars

Chuckster sells straight risers. I got the 3 inch and didn't have to re-route anything. They are a lot cheaper than aeromach or scootworks http://kawanow.proboards77.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=3586

I'm with Wolfman, I have Chuckster's 3" risers and they brought the bars up and back enough to stop the leaning forward. Elbows are now back to torso and shoulders no longer stressed by continually reaching. The price was right and the install painless.

Superduty....Like I'm sure you're reading in all the links Wolfman posted...it all depends on what you're after..IMHO. I've got the Phat II's also and didn't need to do anything to the wires. I needed (wanted ) my handlebars both up and back so I went w/ the Phat II's that did both... Up 4" or so...and Back about 3"...or at least that's how it feels. Put me in a better position. Most of the guys on here just wanted up and not so much back...so regular risers worked for them. I waited till I got around some guys who already did their modifications and sat on the Nomad to see which I liked better. Phat II's is what felt the best for me...so that's what I did. Not sure where you're located, but with our membership growing like it is...I'm sure you might be able to find somebody close by who's already done the mod to see if you like it before your start spending $$..... Good luck!!!

just wanted to add... yes, there are 2 different holes for the Phat II's. I was able to use the center hole instead of the off set hole and still maintain clearance from the tank and speedo nacile. You just don't want to put dimples in your chrome nacile!! I'll look and see if I can find the link where I have some pics of what I did.

Have you tried Value Accessories (https://store.valueaccessories.net/), this is where I got mine, they don't say they are out of stock on the website. I guess you don't really know for sure till you place them in the shopping cart.

Yeah, Scootworks and Value Accessories were two of the places I tried. I think I'll go with the Phat II's. I don't care so much about "up", but definitely need to go "back" more. Got a Mustang with backrest on the way too. Since that typically moves you forward, I am gonna wait till I try the seat before I pull the trigger on the risers.

Thanks,

He got a longer wait time when he called again and decided to go with the Phat II's instead of wait. I only know this because after his came in and got installed, I got his aeromach's that were for a 1500 Nomad.

I got a set of Aeromach risers with my bike (not installed) Do these offer "back" as well? The height isn't so bad where it is now, it's the reach. I'm really stretching out if I want to do a full handlebar turn.

The 4" risers actually raise the bar 2" from stock and 1 and 1/2" pullback closer grip point to you.

ordered some Aeromach Risers from the Aeromach site and was told it would be 10 to 12 weeks at least so trying to cancel order and find others.
