Looking for some advise on installing a PowerPro on a Vaquero.
Is it necessary to remove the tank trim piece from tank and from around switch to raise rear of tank or not. The instructions seem to be generic.
Are there any short cuts to the injector connections worth mentioning??
Any input or advise would be greatly appreciated as I am completely new to the Kaw 1700
Thanks,
HC

I loosened up my tank and put a 2inch block of wood on the bottom of tank on the end of tank where mounting bolts are. It is a little tight at the rear cylinder connection but I squeeze my hand in there and got to it. This was on a 1700 Nomad. Its a very easy install and my motorcycle runs great with it.

Thanks....was thinking some of the instructions were over-kill. Unit due in tomorrow so we'll try her out this weekend.

I have V&H slip ons and thunder intake. If I baby it I can get 44mpg but that is byways 50mph in 6th. Most of the time I get 36-38mpg. If I ride fast 34. It really depends on my wrist.

I too have the V&H slip ons plus the Kury Alley Cat intake. To be honest, just bought the bike(used) last Sat and haven't gotten to ride her yet. But avg mileage showing on display right now says 47. We'll see. 2011 Vaquero with 3100 miles on it

When you raise the tank - be careful when lowering it back down or you could pinch the fuel vent line which could possibly cause a venting issue and tank collapse . . . Or so I've been told . . .
ctc - If your display shows 47, you are probably getting between 40 - 42 actual mileage - which is great! The displays on these are - shall we say - optimistic . . .
