I just talked with a Metzler customer service rep that confirmed Metzler is making a radial 150/80 R 16 front tire. However, it has not been tested on Nomad's, therefore due to liability issues, they will not recommend at this time.
He said they test twice a year but did not know if/when this 150/80R 16 on Nomad's would be included. The 150/80 R 16 is also "in a heavily back ordered situation."
So, as of now, the "upgrade combo" they do recommend remains 180/70R 16 radial rear and 150/80 16 bias front. Many of you are already running this combo which good results.
He also stated all Metzler bias motorcycle tires are now being made in Brazil and radials are still produced in Germany.
Thought this information might be useful and help answer some tire questions.

I might be the tester. I'm running 150 80HRx16 radial front and 180 60HR 16 radial rear.
I've run them 7,000 miles now without regret or incident.
What I personally like about this tire is aside from great handling it raises the front up .47" and lowers the back .27". FYI

How did you get a hold of a metz rep. See my thread about my tire problems - my dealer put the rear 150/80b 16 on the front. I tried emailing metz about it and got an email back....in German language! On the metz sight it says you can run the rear on front if you 'reverse' the arrow.....I'm having a rough week. We're trying to figure which way to turn the tire and what would happen if we don't. Like I said long story see my thread.
But could you pm me the contact infor for the metz rep?

Phone number is 800.747.3554
Follow the prompts to customer service. You will probably get a recording saying all reps are busy, but leave your phone number and they will call you back, usually next day.
At least they have returned two of my calls.
Sorry to hear your dealer problems.
You should document this experience and contact Kawasaki.
This is total B.S.
