I made it home today after 5,000 miles in 20 days on my Nomad. I had a great time at the SE rally at Blairsville, GA and the SC rally at Antlers. I know many have ridden lots farther in shorter time but that's a good amount of riding for me. The Nomad was flawless and is all the bike I want or need. It really does fit me perfectly. I took my youngest son to Blairsville and we had a blast riding in the mountains and spending time in great company. My wife couldn't handle the ride to Antlers since she's still recovering from her broken leg so I picked her up at DFW. Vic and Katy put on another great rally. Marisa and I had a blast and are looking forward to next year at Antlers. I'm glad I took a chance last year and rode 1400 miles to hang out w a bunch of strangers that are now good friends. My Nomad is already cleaned up and tomorrowshe gets fresh Amsoil, final gear oil, kickstand lubed and k and n air filter cleaned. Everything else is good to go. I'm already looking forward to the next VBA rally. It's funny but after my 3rd straight 500+ mile day, I kinda felt like riding on

I'm glad you made it home safely. 5000 miles in 20 days is nothing to sneeze at. BD doesn't ride that far in a year. :lmao:

It was nice to see you and Marisa again, Manny. Antlers was a lot of fun!

Thanks guys. It was without a doubt a memorable ride. I remember my 1st day out heading up to the SE rally in Ga going through a heavy thunderstorm. It was pretty bad and thought my son would want to turn back so I asked him if he was ok and he yelled over the noise " this is great Dad" w a big smile on his face. That's my boy ! Great riding and great company...what more can you ask for? I'm already looking forward to the next one. Ride safe fellas

The Nomad got fresh amsoil, final gear oil, k and n air filter service, and lubed the kickstand. I was happy to find the oil pump screen and old oil filter spotless, the air filter clean and the final gear oil looking like new. She's ready to go again and I'm sorta too but it's nice sleeping in my own bed
