I've had many previous occupations. Some successful (male escort, professional whale watcher, amateur gynocologist), some not (Olympic bean bag tosser, economist) but I've NEVER been a freaky, scary looking clown. :lol:

That said laugh all you want about the Vision, but it is the most comfortable, best handling V-Twin I've ever ridden. Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder and while I love the clasic look of the Nomad, I apperciate everything else about the Vision and the looks are growing on me.

As long as you can keep the back of the front fender from falling off and getting caught in the front of the bike interfering with you ability to steer :wtf:

Every vehicle has it's problems. That happens to be the Visions only real flaw. Unfortunately, it's a potentially fatal flaw. The big problem with that is Victorys corporate attitude. Their final determination is that it's a "cosmetic, wear and tear" issue and not safety related.

Parts falling off the bike are not wear and tear items to me, tires and brakes are.

Victory is the only "person" who seems to think they are wear and tear items. Nobody else thinks that, for sure.

At first, I was surprised Victory refused to do anything about it. I assume it's because they're either very greedy or they really want to save face. It's too bad such a crappy company produces such a marvelous bike.

Having recently traded in my Vaquero for a 2013 Vision Tour I couldn't agree more about the comfort and handling comments. I just completed a 1300 mile trip and the bike was amazing, plus I enjoyed 47+ MPG average. As much as I enjoyed the Vaquero, I'm gonna love this bike! :tup:

It is a recurring problem and as Chris said it is only on the Vision.
It is a very dangerous situation and a few guys on the Vic forum are fixing it themselves before it comes loose.
I think that is how I read it anyway.

If you're going by the digital display, it's off. Stock Visions average closer to 40 mpg by the calculator method. I can't complain about it.

Hopefully, Polaris will add that recall to the list.

I doubt it, Trip. Victory has already confirmed that it's a "cosmetic wear and tear" issue. It is what it is. My issue isn't so much that it's a problem but that Victory refuses to address it. There are probably more Vision riders who have never been on a forum than have and they might not know about this. I'd hate for some unknowning rider to break a fender and end up wrapped around a tree. I spent about $300 retrofitting a different fender to my bike. There are other (more expensive) options but Vision owners shouldn't have to foot the bill for something that obviously ISN'T wear and tear nor cosmetic.

That's better than most. Assuming a stock bike, the average for a Vision is about 38-44 average. I tend to twist the throttle a bit harder than most so my gas mileage suffers some. If I stayed around 60, I could probably get a bit better, too.
