I need to adjust the pressure in the rear shocks. What brand of pump works best?

There several out there: Progressive, Harley Davidson, and "generic" types found on eBay. You want it to be "no/zero loss" and you want a scale of 0-60 PSI. You can find them up to 300 PSI, but the graduations aren't fine enough to precisely set the pressure in 1 degree increments. You're only dealing with a max of 44 pounds, iirc.

I have used a Progressive brand for several years now, with great results.

Never mind-should have used the search before asking.

Thanks cactusjack - that's what I found that most use when I did the search.

I remove the Schrader valves while it's on the lift for what ever other service and reinstall them before I drop it back down. The difference in pressure between "0" on the lift with the shocks extended and compressed with me on the bike is all I use.

Keep in mind that I'm a trim 180# and ride Solo 99+% of the time. :D

Kawasaki actually has one now. $49 the same as the Harley pump I bought about 3 years ago.

Can you slow that explanation down for me Mark? A 'what' valve? And what differences are you measuring prior to setting the pressure? I'm buying the pump now. Still need to buy the adapter so my lift from harbor freight will work on my Nomad.

Schrader valve is the valve inside the valve stem, it unscrews with a certain type of valve stem cap.
What mark is saying is, with the shocks extended on the lift he removes the valve and before he lowers the bike he puts the valve back in.
This creates a certain amount of pressure when the shocks compress upon touching the ground.

You want it to be "no/zero loss" .

If there's zero loss, is that not the same as no and if there's no loss, is that not the same as zero?

So wouldn't no/zero used together be redundant?
