noisy idel solenoids.

[new to a vulcan]

on my 2005 1600 can i remove the solenoids without hurting anything else?? they are just a pain to listen to.

You can actually disconnect the wires too but I didn't like that idea since I do do some cold weather riding. I cant find the link on how too on that tho. If you disconnect them just tape up the wires with electrical tape so they don't short out.

Just take the solenoids off, cap the ports up above where the short vacuum lines connect and tape up the solenoid wires so they can't short out. I did this on my 2007 Nomad and I would ride into the upper-20's low-30's temperature-wise and it ran just fine. Just use the "choke" knob on the left hand side for 20-30 seconds and it warms up just fine.
