Mini apes on Nomad

Im looking at installing mini ape on my 2010 Nomad however I do not want to extend any cables. Has anyone done this mod ? if so send suggestion this way..

11" apes or less you are fine. I have 11 or 12" apes on my 2012 nomad no problem.

This post has the factory handlebar measurements listed in it. I think, with 10" bars, you would only be 2" over stock height.

Not your same bike, but I was able to put some 11 dresser apes on my 1600. I only had to extend electrical, which I would want to do anyway in order to wire internally.

Just be advised, the santee dresser apes do NOT fit the 1700s. The bar clamps are too widely spaced. Make sure you buy 1" bars all the way through, not 1 1/4" bars that taper.
