Well, my 2007 Nomad with 75K miles is now gone. It has some mechanical problems and cost est was over $2K to fix. My pending job change and the need for another vehicle on top of all, I just traded it in on an SUV. So no motorcycle for me for now. I will get another someday, soon I hope, but for now I am back in the cage. I got my money worth.

Need to be changed since I no longer own a Vulcan.

I will list a few items here once I go through the garage for all the misc bike items, that I do not need.

I do have a brand new CT that I was going to have installed to replace a CT with 40K on it.
It is a Hankook 195/60-16 H426. Same as I had 40K on. It worked real well for me. I paid $80+ shipping, would sell for $75.

thanks.

Do we get to guess why you ride a Victory?

Is it because you don't pack the gear to ride a Harley? :bird:

Sorry to hear you are bikeless for now. Oh well it will give you more time to post on the forum and give you a little to time to figure out what you want to get next time. Enjoy the process.

Will you be buying new or used?

You know why I ride a Victory? Because 2nd place is the 1st. Loser!! :tup:Not "whom" in this case. You own a Victory now Bd, and you are therefore held to higher standards when posting. "Whom" would be appropriate when the answer to the question could have been 'him".:yep: Which it was a question, however, you choose to punctuate with three exclamation points for some reason. :hmm:

Q: And who wouldn't be "Enthusiastic" about that???:bird:
A: He wouldn't wouldn't be "Enthusiastic" about that!!!:bird:

Yeah' 2nd place is just a nice way to say, "I'm a looser"!:D

Well you're doing it at a snails pace, considering Victory shipped less than 15,000 units to distributors worldwide in 2012. HD shipped upwards of 240,000 units worldwide. Victory is in first place, eh? I'd say they don't even finish in the top five.

That was also the approach the Coyote took in his pursuit of the Roadrunner. Never quite worked out in that case either.

Sorry to hear you are bikeless. Rest assured they make them everyday, so whne your ready, your next one will be waiting. Good luck and hope you stick around. There seems to be a few "friendly" wagers on what you select next.

Victory claims sales went up 64% in 2012. That is one fast snail:lmao:

That's because they sold less than 8000 units worldwide in 2011. These are not bragging points fellas. Nearly every major motorcycle manufacturer kicked their butts in sales.

Now, I'm not a Victory hater. I rather like the touring line-up, but this constant trumpet sounding is a little hard to swallow.

It had to be said.

Harley probably sells that many bikes in California in one year.

Since Victory is only 15 years old, I'd still say they're doing pretty well.

Probably sold that many in Cali in a month. Hard to beat HD sales.

Easily.

I don't think anyone has any misconception who sells more bikes. If they can't sell more than Victory with about a 100 year head start they wouldn't be in business.

My point is simple. Victory/Polaris/Indian is growing quickly and the XC and XCT are a big reason. Will they ever catch HD.....probably not in our lifetime. But they will more than likely continue to grab market share.

I don't even own a Victory (and don't plan to) but think they make great bikes to compete with HD and other baggers/cruisers.. I think they have raised the bar for US built bikes and that is only good for all of us riders.

This reminds me how the Japs improved the quality of all cars since they hit the US scene. They made US manufacturer's build a better product for a better price. Competition works!:tup:

Toyota didn't sell many cars in their first few years but the word spread and look at them now.

Kind of like comparing apples and oranges, Harley started in 1901 and have built upon it since then, Victory started in 1997. A lot of people said the Jap bikes wouldn't take off either when Honda started inroads back in the early 60s and we can see where they are now. If Victory builds a reliable machine at a fair price, and price will be the key, then they will continue to grow, if they cater to the higher end market, then they will probably continue to do the same as they are at present. You can see today with the Vulcan line that while we are still seeing a lot of Harleys, we are also seeing a proliferation of the Big metric V-Twins from Kawasaki.
