black dust

i am getting a black dust on my bags and sides of the trunk?? anybody have this problem,1700 voyager white. dealer said the belt is with in spec so i dont no what else it could be coming from

thanks for your input, i didnt think of brake dust and it only happens when im two up and loaded heavy

I noticed I had quite a bit of black dust after my ride yesterday. Weird. I had just wiped it down the day before too. It almost looked like soot and I have no idea how that could be.

When I ride mine hard, I get the black dust on the saddlebags, and back fender...... It is soot from the exhaust.

i am now thinking dust from front brakes and the engine fan blowing it back

I get dust everytime I ride. But I live on a dirt road. :D

I got exhaust soot on my Nomad like VulcanE, too. The only brake dust I remember was right around and on the wheels.
