Those are Mutazu trunks. They are made in China and are very cheesy, with plastic hinges and cheap latches. http://www.mutazu.com/

I read a lot about them after I posted...ya I don't think that's a good idea..( lots of bad reviews about poor quality and no call backs or customer service and cheap product).I stumbled on scoot works ...they have tour PAC for about same money only they are fibreglass and seems to be a replica of the h.d tour PAC ( says they are compatible with h.d accessories ):lol....gonna call them tomorrow....I sold my tour PAC with my street glide ...grrrrrr...lol....it was custom painted to the bike ...lol....

Having had an HD tourpak, you would be disappointed with the quality. I have not seen their new fiberglass HD clone.

Those trunks are junk, poor hardware and they crack easily.

Beware of Scootsworks. He has had many issue over the last several years of delayed shipping and no shipping at all. I know several people who have had to go to small claims court to get their money back.

I agree with all the comments above so I bought a cheap one of the trunks on line and made it better. I put several layers of fiberglass mat and cloth in, ground off the cheap plastic hinges and now i have a heavy duty, stiff trunk for about $150.00. The lock was O.K. so I kept it and bought a couple of nice hinges at Home Depot to replace the ones I took off. Also built my own rack out of no rust aluminum so I wouldn't have to lose the chrome hand rails. Sure beats hundreds for a Harley Tourpak.

Anyone used the Viking trunks?
They are HD replicas and look pretty solid.

Who did you order yours from and were you happy with the trunk. ( other than havin to beef it up , which isn't the worst thing to have to do )

I got mine from autopart2000 on ebay, but I have bought a couple of them and they are all pretty much the same. Paint isn't so hot but I knew I was going to sand and repaint so it didn't matter. Just pick one you like and go for it.

If yours is one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-MOTORCYCLE-TOURING-PACK-TOUR-TRUNK-Rack-BAG-wrap-around-backrest-OP-LED-/230964411877?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35c68d3de5&vxp=mtr,
I would like to see what hinges you used. I have one ready to paint and mount now, but was thinking of doing the same thing with the hinges first. Lowes didn't seem to have hinges that would fit the 1/4" offset between the lid and base.

I personally have had no experience with this company, but several people I know use and like their stuff.

Cool man....I ordered the kqr backrest so I can modify a tour PAC /trunk so it's quick release....I think I will order the shoot works super trunk 3 and beef it up if needed ( there site says they have made them stronger now with a flat bottom).
When they say that it comes painted with black gel paint I assume that's a black base coat so it's ready for paint..?

The supertrunk 3 is a great unit, but as others have said, Scootworks appears to be having problems. I wouldn't buy anything from them right now. Just this morning I read posts on two other forums from people who have placed orders months ago and are still waiting. Scootworks is not answering the phone or responding to emails, apparently.
HELLO, THIS OUGHT TO BE A BIG RED FLAG!!!
