I know the Vaquero wheelbase is 65.6" but was is the overall length? I ask because I'm picking up the bike this weekend and may not have a trailer. It's 8 hours away and I'd prefer to not have a trailer. The pickup location has a steep hill and I have ramps that allow a person on each side so getting it in the truck would be relatively easy but I don't know that it will fit for sure.
Thanks!
Overall length of the Vaquero is 98.8 inches. (Thought I'd get the actual length in fast before Brad left you hanging with a reply about his XCT, like: "It's 9.3" shorter than the XCT.")

Forecast is thunderstorms, havent ridden a lot in the last few years and the bike is significantly bigger than my last one. I'd rather get to know it locally rather than familiarizing myself on an 8 hour ride. AKA my wife would prefer me not to.

Couldn't agree more. Previous to vaquero I went up 200+ lbs with my first cruiser and was real happy just cruising local familiar roads for a while.
I can't remember from rider course but aren't you more likely to have mishap in your first 500 or so miles on a new bike?

I can't remember either. I've been asked that by a bunch of people...
I can't believe it's so long (that's what she said?). All the trailers that friends own are 8' long. The one's Uhaul have aren't even 8'... What in the hell :hmm: Apparently this bike is too long to motorcycle trailers?

Definitely wish I would have done that instead! I'm back and used a 16'x6' enclosed trailer... now to go to the bmv and deal with that mess tomorrow.
This thing definitely needs a new front tire, any recommendations on cheap and trustworthy?

If you have a radial on the rear go with the Michelin Commander II.

Cheap and trustworthy are mutually exclusive when it comes to motorcycle tires.

I got my vaquero in the Uhaul open trailer made specifically for bikes. Not much help now huh? It was like $22 bucks for a few hours and has built in wheel chuck.
