Toward the end of the last riding season i had oil seeping around the dipstick area. I replaced the dipstick oring twice. It still leaked around the top area. The wind would blow it around so could'nt tell if it was coming from the head or side cover. So i took it to the dealer last week before my warrenty was up. They cleaned the area and cant get it to leak agian. Has anyone had a leak in this area that was or was not the oring.

I cant say that I have ever seen oil around the dipstick cap on my Voyager.
Are you sure you are tightening it enough ?

Dip stick??? What year did they put dip sticks on Nomads??
I have a filler cap where I pour my oil in... and a sight glass to see the level of the oil, but I didn't know there were dip sticks.

Cleaning the area was going to be my first suggestion, so hopefully it was that simple. Just a little something keeping the cap from properly sealing

The dealer called me and they drove it 20 miles. They found oil weaping out of the left side engine cover. Parts on order. Should have it done by next week. Weather in WI. sucks anyway. Still in the 40's here and rain, rain and more rain. Yesterday was a dry day. Last year we had 80's in March.

The side cover oil seal i would guess, and the shift indicator. mine does'nt work well. A bit lazy.
