Noticed my best friends 98 Dog (Harley Davidson) shining like a new penny, never looked so good. Asked what he was using, he got a can of liquid glass at Auto zone. Of course I couldn't let him get all the attention, so I bought me a can!! This stuff really works and is very easy to use. Says its not a wax put a polisher and will shine more and more with each application. Run to Auto zone and get you a can. Take a twenty and a five spot with you, it's expensive.

I use Thunderbolt Polish. It works great and has UV protection in it.

A gallon for $35 - has lasted over a year

That turtlewax "ICE" is some pretty good stuff http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif, you can apply it shade or sun, paint or plastic. The more you rub it with the supplied cloth, the more it shines. Works great on chrome too http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

I've used Liquid Glass before; it works great on a perfect surface!
Everybody has their own favorites; I use Meguires Gold paste wax. It shines right purdy, and lasts a good while.

Can't say anything against Meguires, It's the standard all others are compared too!
BTW, I also like the Meguires "Deep Crystal"

Mine's lucky to get a rub with Simonize once or twice a year & then some Meguairs Gold Glass.

In between it just gets Meguiar's Instant Detailer.

This is the problem once you start commuting on one. It's not a toy any longer. It's a utility item. Toys get pampered. Utilities get the minimum maintenance.

Yea Cadd....I'm starting to fall into that catagory myself. I've gone from washing / polishing every time....to once a week... to maybe once a month now!! I do like riding all the time though and the way the weather has been this week...man... it's a pleasure to ride!!

Mine just gets the dust and dirt knocked off everyonce in a moon. Use a wash which does a good job of getting a shine. Polish once or twice a year. In between, use the california dust mop.

I use a number of different products. Mostly because I haven't satisfied myself yet. I will try McQuires along the way. I only wash my bike with water after it's been on the Pacific coast (salt). Other than that, its a dust mop and waterless wash & shine.

I think Nicos been rubbing bug parts, bird droppings, dirty diapers and road grime to keep his Nomad looking the way it does!!!

+1 Maguire's. Also use SC-1 for the occasional touch up w/o doing the whole 2-hr clean then wax routine. Works good enough for me...
