grey smoke after changing mufflers

ive got a 2011 1700 changed mufflers .now getting grey smoke .how do i get rid of this?

Run it and burn off whatever substance (oil, paint, etc) is causing the smoke. It should be obvious if you only changed mufflers that the problem is with the mufflers themselves.

I agree with Scott. Often times the inside of the pipes will be coated with a thin layer of oil. Go for a ride and when you get back it ought be gone.

ive rode over 200 miles only smokes on decel and when shifting

I'd give it a little more time yet. A good long run on the interstate will heat the pipes up good, city riding not so much.

If it's not oil or some coating burning off and all you did was change the pipes, then it is possible that it is something unrelated. Grey or white smoke can mean coolant getting into the cylinder(s). For peace of mind while riding and hoping it will burn off, you could check and mark with a pencil the level of coolant in the overflow tank and then keep an eye on it to see if it is dropping.

I worked with Borla for a number of years producing a private label exhaust. They used oil inside the pipes to aid the tube bending equipment and it did produce smoke for many miles. Hope this is the case.

Thanks for all the advise. ill try riding a lil bit more before going to the kaw shop.
