Hi,
I have been running this oil in my 1600 for a number of years, have a friend who has just bought an 11 Vaquero. Anyone running this in the 1700 as well, new member is looking for some feedback, yes I know another oil thread.

You know it works fine in a 1600. Why wouldn't it be just as good in a 1700?

If it works for one bike with a wet clutch, it should work just fine for any.

Yes you are correct but a new member who is having trouble using the search feature and just purchased a new Vaquero is looking for confirmation from other 1700 owners they are using the T6 oil and are happy with it.:D

I have used the T-6 in my Voyager since the first oil change, 8 months old and 8000 miles with no ill effects, and it even quited the Clunky Chunky down to a nice smooth shift. riding in Arizona it can get a little hot durning the summer but I ran this in my 1500 as well for years with no problem.

Tried the T-6 5W/40 and had no trouble also tried Mobile one 15W50W Synthetic and Valvolen 20W/50W MC oil. but like the Kaw dino oil in my bike the best. I use the 20W/50W in the summer and have 10W/40W now and for over the winter. The Valvolin MC oil did the worst in My bike as far as how many miles the oil was good only 2,500.

They're an extra 148 ccs between the 1600 (which is really 1552) and a 1700 (which is really a 1700)....STUPID.

Tried the T6 in my 1600 and the clutch started slipping. Changed it out right away and went to Mobil 1 4T 10W-40 and it stopped slipping.

I have been using Rotella T6 in my Voyager for the past 2,000 miles. Seems fine, no clutch slipping or anything. This was my third oil change since new. The second oil change I went with Kawa's synthetic oil. I may try Kawa's again next change, it may be my imagination, but I think Kawa's synthetic shifted smoother. I was going to go with Mobil 1, but at $11/qt for Mobil, the Rotella was half the price on sale, and the reviews had been good in the forums.
