I have a 16x10 shed that I park my Nomad in for the winter. It is at the very back of the yard and to get it out, I lay down 3/4 plywood so that I can back it up easily because it is so hard to push the bike back on grass that sinks. I was getting tired of it so, I was reading an piece on Gadgets site ( http://www.gadgetjq.com/motorcycle_turntable.htm ) and decided to make one. I found a turntable (http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/118/1124/=k2clt5 ) on McMaster Carr and ordered it. It is rated at 1000lbs (big enough for the Nomad). I was going to start to build it but then decided because I have a Motomaster MC lift, I was going to put this bearing under the lift with a piece of 1/2 wood and lift the bike up. Well if it didn't work. I was able to spin the bike (holding on to it the whole time) 180 degrees and more if I need to. Well, now I don't need to make anything and this will work when it comes spring time to get it out. I hope this helps you all out as it did me.

And the nice thing about it, it was only $15 (with shipping). How cheap is that!

can you just clarify a bit?
You put the bike jack on top of a piece of 1/2 inch wood...and that was sitting on top of the turntable....then jacked up the bike and spun it around on the turntable?
Thanks

That is correct. The turntable was on the floor, then some wood, then the jack and then the bike was jacked up from there. I will be doing it again as I rode this weekend and I will take some pictures for clarification.
