Where have I been?

I took a ride to Gila Bend, AZ. This time, I took my camera along.

This is on AZ 347, between Chandler and Casa Grande on the Gila River Indian Reservation, about 15 miles from "Casa de Cactusjack". This overlooks the towns of Coolidge and Florence. LA isn't the only place with a smog problem.

It is a beautiful day for riding here. Temps in the low 80's, and some gusty winds <ugh!>.

They have filmed a lot of westerns here over the years. The saguaro cacti only grown in the Sonoran desert, which includes southern AZ and an area of northern Mexico. Any movie you see with saguaros in the background was filmed in the Sonoran desert.

You can always spot someone from Arizona.

They can spell saguaro, and know when to use the word "cacti". ;)
