Hello all- once again I am relying on the "BRAIN TRUST" to provide me with insight. I want to add a Audiovox 250-1316 cruise control to my 2001 1500 Nomad FI. Has anyone done this and is there a wiring diagram available.. Let's be crystal clear on this(it must be very precise and simple) or I'll muck it up. I AM NOT A MECHANIC or ELECTRICIAN - again NOT A MECHANIC or ELECTRICIAN Thanks, Abbo

Gadget's cruise control install instructions. (http://www.gadgetjq.com/electronic_cruise.htm) I don't think it looks all that simple.

That is for the CCS 100 which is hard. My understanding is the 250-1316 is all electronic. did not see any instructions on Gadgets site Thanks tho

This is what I have on my 1600. It is expensive, but it is plug and play. Works really well. Several guys have installed the Audivox system. Hopefully some will chime in.

Sorry, Just saw the audiovox and didn't pay close enough attention. I didn't know there were other options. Maybe I'll learn something useful here too. :)

A few years ago a bunch of us got our hands on Audiovox CCS-100 systems. They were very inexpensive and not too difficult to install. The model you're talking about is fairly new. I don't know of anyone who has installed the new model, nor do I know of any installation document similar to what we had from Gadgets page. I'm sure it could be done, but you would be the guinea pig, so to speak.

Someone tried it before. (http://www.vulcanbagger.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28299) No word on if he finally got it done.

I'm not aware of anyone installing one on a Nomad yet. My pal installed one on his Suzuki Bandit and it works great. He just followed the instructions provided and got through it himself.

I googled your kit requesting motorcycle installation. I found nothing for the nomad specifically but I found this page which is of some use, I hope. good luck! http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/docs/Rostra%20install.htm

I was one of the lucky ones that "got their hands on" an Audiovox ccs-100.
Not a real hard install. I did it so there you go.
I think the "Motor cycle cruise" is pretty expensive. But it looks good.
I have no idea on the install of the Audiovox you speak of.

Hey Gene,
That looks like a pretty slick setup and the idea of plug and play is appealing. (keeping the installation as simple as possible is a plus in my mind). However current price would be $991 Canadian $ so I might have to contend with my throttle lock for another few years.

It was pretty easy to install and set up. I got lucky and found mine on Ebay for $400. I had been looking at the web site, and hoping $1200 would fall out of the sky.
