Crab --- Let me know what you think about the quality of the Bestum bags. I'm thinking about getting one of the top bags for my Vision. $40 is a damn sight better than $100 from the dealer.

I bought a set for my Voyager. I'm getting ready to take it out east this weekend so I went ahead and packed the bags yesterday. I was a little disappointed that I had to remove a couple of things from one of the bags I had packed pretty full. The damn tapered top of the 1700 top load bags (as well as the huge lock mechanism that protrudes out on the top inside of the lid) keeps you from being able to close the bag if the liner is really full.

Bestum calls the liner their 1700 Vulcan bag and charges $10 more because of it. I think it's the same bag that they have made for 1600s and current Vaqueros. It looks like it's shaped to fit my old 1600 bags. It is definately not a form fitting bag for the 1700.

Quality wise, I guess time will tell. They look pretty solid to me except for the zipper. If something is going to fail on this bag, I believe it will be the zipper. The plastic Vulcan emblem they sewed to the side of the bag is cheesey looking and they would be better served if they stopped putting it on their bags.

so far i love my bags.you can over pack them and make it hard to close.but that always possible..seem to be holding up well,zipper and all..i give em a 10...

I have the same bags. They work great bought them from Amazon. I showed them to the guys at The House Of Kawasaki in OKC. They looked just like there's but for a third of the price.
