I am looking to replace both fog light bulbs and the head light bulb on my 2011 Voyager. Any suggestions? Any bulb better to use? Thought about trying the cool blue but not sure. Any assistance appreciated.

Just a note for consideration. My Cobra passing lamps came with 25w bulbs which were hard to find. I replaced them with 50 watt. Now when I drive at night with the passing lamps on, drivers blink their high beams at me. So going with something stronger turned out to be a negative in my view. It is just something else to consider.

I had a 100/90W in my headlamp.... melted the connector. Now, not sure if it is going to happen again as I have now put in a 60/55W but I have notice that the light is not as bright... may switch back as I did like the extra power that light did shine.

For the headlight I suggest switching to a 55/85 or a 55/100 the low would then be the same wattage as the stock high beam, but it doesn't blind people. On the few times you'll need the high beam it will be great. I've done this on all me bikes when I replace the bulbs.

I wanted to stay near stock on wattage. I like the idea of stepping up the highbeam some what as I ride to work early mornings. Is the headlight a H-8? Spots H-4? Phillips, Sylvania? Other good brands?

Just a guess but I think the healight is a H4 and the spots H3's.

There is a high temp connector available, I think the p/n is listed on Gadgets Fixit.

I bought mine off of e-bay at $10 for 2 bulbs including shipping. There is usually a choice of many brands and options. I found all the name brands to be about the same.

Bill you can aim these lamps down somewhat.... I run 55 watts each passing lamps and just aim them down some. No one flashes at me. Oh mine are tipped to the right a little bit as well.

I believe the lights on our bikes serve 2 purposes. !) To help the rider see in low light conditions 2) to help other motorists see you on your bike.
As a rule during Daylight hours I ALWAYS run with my HIGHBEAMS on. For the rider on the bike there is no difference because you are depending on Mother Sun (Ra) to help you see. For and on comming cage or someone pulling out of the strip mall they can SEE YOU much better. No one is blinded. Its day time damit.
If you doubt me and ride with others have some put the highbeams on while others run with low beams. See who catches your eye. Thats called a safer riding environment.
As the sun goes down my blue indicator on the dash becomes more visible to me and I switch to low beams at night.
I use The Sylvania Silver Stars bulbs at the stock wattage. Dont want to burn my baby up. I would like to get some bright white bulbs for the passing lamps since they look yellowish compared to the headlight now. A quick glance revealed that these are sealed beam lamps and I would have to change the entire fixture. Too much work for vanity. My 2 cents

Riselikera, I totally agree with riding with the High Beam during the day, makes you much more visible. as for the driving lights on the Voyager and Vaquero they are relampable with out too much trouble, it is not a sealed unit the bulb simply twists out from the rear, very easy access if you remove the fairing pocket interior, (just 4 screws) and you have access to the rear of the light.
