Does anyone know if these are the same trunks? Or is one better than the other?

The 2nd & 3rd have slightly different measurements. The Viking Bags are less expensive and seem to have great reviews on the web.
As for the Mutazu: I bought a set of their saddlebags that were side opening for my old bike. I had to repair the lights on them first thing and they weren't l.e.d. bulbs as advertised just old style 1057s. They were cheap crap that leaked and then cracked out after just a few months of use. I wouldn't take their stuff if you gave it to me, not even to sell it to someone I didn't like.

What do you want a trunk for? Looks, storage, both? IMO, the best bang for the buck is the genuine HD Tour Pak or the Premeux trunk. Both are expensive but both are high quality and will last the life of the bike. Both also hold a huge amount of stuff. No matter what trunk you get, you'll either have to fabricate a mount (there's not enough room on a luggage rack and most of them open forwards anyway) or buy one. Wompus racks (he's a member here) are excellent quality for a reasonable price (couple hundred bucks). One nice thing about the HD Tour Pak is the aftermarket accessories. You can get lights, chrome, antenna (antenni?), etc from lots of places. There are also 3 different sized Tour Paks. The King (in regular and Ultra configurations...Ultra has the rear lights), Chopped and Razor. You'll hear the King referred to as a beerbox and the Razor as a pizza box. If you look around, you can probably find either a King or Ultra box in decent condition for around $500. Figure another $200 for a rack and another $150 or so fixing up the little things that the box will probably need and you'll have $800-$900. Sometimes, you can find a good deal on an excellent condition Tour Pak for $7-800 in your color (or a close match).

They look the same to me. Cheap Chinese plastic.
The dimensions are close enough to be the same. Some manufacturer (maybe Mutazu) builds these by the truck load. They are sold in bulk for a few bucks apiece. They are rebranded and sold all over the web.

Here is what I think is a better option from Mutazu. I am thinking about trying this one.

Wait, 120 shipping or 61 for local pickup?? They charge 61 dollars for you to pick it up? If I was going to spend that kind of money I would by the HD tourpak.

I'm ordering a Wompus rack (soon as I get this Paypal thing figured out).
Going cheap on the trunk for now, just need something lightweight to haul personal stuff to/from work.

That looks like a pretty good option. That's a fairly new product. I have never seen one in person.

My Harley tourpak and saddlebags are ABS. They aren't fiberglass anymore.

You could probably stand on the Wompus rack. Bike parts will break before the rack does.

There are several different qualities of ABS, the type use in Mutazu is the same cheap crap that is used to make Easter eggs only it's about a 1/4" thick. The color is cast in the plastic, but scratches easier than paint. The parts aren't fasten together with screws they are glued with hot glue and break when you try to repair the faulty parts sent from the factory. My saddle bags leaked so bad that I had to replace a book bag and the books in it after a summer shower. I wish I would have bought use Harley or Kawasaki bags. I ended up replacing them with Saddlemen brand bags which worked great and didn't leak at all.

The Mutazu DMY tourpaks have plastic hinges and a real flimsy latch. I had one for awhile, replaced it with a larger Scootworks model because I wanted more capacity and I wanted something that didn't look cheap.

Stazjemo --- Just save your pennies and buy the real thing. A complete HD Ultra Tour Pak with speakers, lights, etc shouldn't cost more than a grand. They're good quality, have a ton of aftermarket parts/lights/racks that you know will fit and will hold a TON. If you aren't into the extra lights and rear speakers, find a King Tour Pak. Same trunk but without any lights or speakers. They're a bit cheaper and you can add some nice aftermarket LED Ultra lights for around $150 later, if you decide you'd rather have them. You get what you pay for.

I really like the late model Yamaha trunk or factory option Nomad trunk, but wow:wtf:. Been checking ebay and even the tore up/scratched ones are big money.
Got my Wompus rack on the way and saddlebags ship next week.

No such thing as a "factory option Nomad trunk" as Nomads have never had a trunk, either standard or optional. If you're referring to the current generation Voyager trunk, it's smaller and not made quite as well as the HD TP.
Here are a couple current auctions on eBay:

They can cross market it any way they want. It's a Voyager trunk. Take a black trunk directly off a Voyager and that one, put them in a bag and shake it and take 1 out. You won't know which one you have. And it's $1500. For that kind of money, you can have a brand new, fully outfitted HD Ultra Tour Pak and mounting rack (in black).

Chrome won't get ya home. And looks are subjective. It's also smaller than the HD TP although that may not be a consideration for you. It wasn't for me (and I wouldn't mind a slightly smaller box) but I like the looks of the TP.

Not the greatest quality but it worked great for my 4500mi trip this summer. I just use it for anything over a couple night trips. Can't go wrong for $99 bucks and it almost matches the stock paint.
