Got a day-long seat. Don't even think about my butt when I ride. I recommend it.

Rubbin it in huh Scott. Did you recommend Jude get one for her 900? :D

If I got a daylong my seat would be worth more than my bike.

I've had one for 5 years. Best mod I have done to date. Great people to deal with as well.

+1

This was an excellent addition. Really improves the long distance riding.

Thanks, I think that one looks better than the ones on the 1700's.

Ive spent way more than I had planned on the bike this season, a new seat is the last item that I need to make the bike complete and comfortable for long distance rides.
I'll see about getting one before my next planned long trip.
I have a modified stock seat at the moment but it seems to be more uncomfortable this season than I can recall in the past.

That's only because your butt is a year older. :lmao:

Only got my front seat done. Base price 435 add my shipping there and back. Add the leather not vinyl add the beefed up suspension for my fat ass and the rain cover and its a grand total of 575. Have had mustang, corbin& stock. This is unbelievably comfortable. When I ride at times i realize i havent even thought about position at all.

There's some truth to that. I find as I age and get more decrepit, that ergonomic requirements change and what didn't work doesn't get better.

There is an alternative to spending 500+ dollars on a seat. I just had mine redone by Frank Turnier in FL. His web site is: www.GreatDayToRide.com. The price was $100. The results were outstanding. I am very happy. I ordered a Saddleman seat last month and was not impressed with it at all. Sent it back and tried Frank. I would highly recoommend this to anyone before spending hundreds on a different seat. JMO

I just spoke with nice lady at the Day long seat place. Asked about doing my stock Vaquero seat as a solo seat. The problem is, as we all well know the mounting bracket for the stock seat sticks out just a little behind the driver seat area. I've thought about cutting my stock seat pan down so that the hold down bracket is just covered. Day long said if I made that modification to the pan they would recover the whole thing and charge as a solo seat. I'm really thinking about trying it. Has anyone with a Vaquero done a seat pan mod? Love to hear back if so.
Now to decide on when to get it done. I'm thinking first of year when it's a little too chilly to ride some days.
