After looking through 844 member pics in the VBA member library and cutting that down to 10 finalists.... the VBA staff has voted and here are the 2012 VBA Photo Contest winners....

Very few Voyager or Vaquero owners have their pics on the website yet. Give it time tho.

And they all have the stock appearance, i.e. no bat wing fairings or trunks.

And I just noticed this...black nomads is a theme too. Did not pick up on that when we were looking at finalists....

For me, I am a purist and will always prefer a stock look..not that I don't like the wings and trunks...just prefer a stock look even on cars and classic cars.

Well I'll be......

That pic was taken a couple years ago on a trip I made with the Blue Knights to Colorado. If you look at the left handlebar you will see a black tube with a handle hanging there. That tube was a scabbard for my cane that I needed to walk with, it was strapped to the fork tube. My hip was killing me (Transient osteoporosis of the hip) and the only way I would walk was with the cane. I would set the bike on the kickstand and grab the cane and hobble away. Wife was pi$$ed that I made the trip but it was awesome. :-)

Same here . . . thanks for the recognition. Picture was taken last year in Rocky Mountain National Park.

One other thing . . . the bike does have a trunk on it. Just not visible from this angle. Sorry to mess up the theme. I like the stock look also, but couldn't do the long, two-up trips that we do without it. That's the reason I bought the Nomad in the first place.
