I was happy as hell when I found my sweet red and black 08 Nomad on craigslist about 5 weeks ago. I got a great deal on this pristine bike w only 5000 miles on her. I've had a great 5 weeks and did a lot of riding by myself and 2 up w either my oldest son or my girlfriend. I'm even happier about the bike now. The only mods I'm doing on her are strictly for comfort. I installed the vista cruise throttle lock that saves my wrecked right shoulder, the grasshopper backrest and I ordered the reckless fairing w stereo cuz I love to ride w music. It's a great bike and plan on keeping her for a long time. I love the look, quality and reliability. This forum has also been a huge plus. I've asked a couple of relatively dumb questions here but have gotten back great advice and info. I'm taking very good care of her w amsoil 10/40 every 3000 and run seafoam 2 times per oil change. I'm loving riding and this site has made the experience even better. I'm going to the Antlers rally and look forward to meeting and riding w you guys. Thanks and ride safe

congratulations on your "new to you" Nomad. I had a 08 Nomad before my vaquero, put about 30,000 miles on it, they're great bikes for sure. Hope you get lots of miles and smiles out of it.

Manban, no question is dumb. We just like to "bust chops" from time to time just for fun, so don't take offense to it! You don't want to be thought of as a "Mangina" man!

Mangina: complains to the admins about getting a mild chop busting. We all find out who they are and YOU never want your name removed from the "Book of Men"...

Ask away and you'll always get the answer.

Hey blowndodge, No complaints here. 98% of what I know about my bike is from here. I'd like to say there is something more interesting about my user name and no I'm not a lesbian trapped in a man's body...manban9888... man is the 1st 3 letters of my given name..ban is the 1st 3 of my last name and I have a 98 Vulcan 1500a also called an 88 that I love to ride too. Don't worry I don't get the sniffles when u bust my chops. ....it just hurts my mangina :)

Make sure you put your name on it. Thats a popular color and you should se a few of them at antlers. Tell me a little more about how you are using the sea foam. I use it in my boat but have not used it in my bike. With the boat I use it as a fuel additive. Enjoy the bike. I put 14500 on my Voyager the first year. Should do more than that this year. My plan is to wear it out in 5 years so I can get a new one.LOL!

I usually use a dab of star tron at every fill up. Its specifically for removing moisture caused by ethanol. I use the seafoam every 1500 miles to keep the fuel system clean. One of the more knowledgeable guys on here Ringadingh adds it to his oil about 400 miles before he changes it. I haven't tried that yet but am thinking about it. I'm gonna maintain her as good as I can cuz I plan on putting lots of blissful miles on her

I'm not a lesbian trapped in a man's body...

Absolutely nothing wrong with being a lesbian trapped in a mans body. :D:D
