Got all the hardware (finally) for mine and am about ready to mount it but need a couuple of questions answered from "those who have gone before me".

I need to wire in the running and brake light on the tourpack itself. I know what wires are what on the pack, but need to know which ones are the brake light and which is the running light on the bike?

Also, how did you all route the wires from the bike into the tourpack? I'll be using one of the large holes on the bottom from corner of the tourpak to run the wires into it.

The wires your looking for are under the seat and run to the tailight , I'm not sure of the colors but I think the brake wire is blue, and the tailight may be red. You can test them with a test light to be sure.
I used the large hole as well to run the wires.

When I did mine on my '07, I spliced into the taillight wiring harness, which is under the seat. It's the bundle of wires going through the rear fender. Follow it forward (toward battery) and you'll find a 6-pin connector. That's where the taillight harness connects to the main chassis harness. Use a VOM or test light and determine which wire is which. Peel back the tape to expose some wire and splice into the wires on the taillight side of the connector. I would wire in a trailer connector so you can disconnect the harness easily to remove the tourpak. You can exit the wiring through the right hand side, by the fuse block and ECM and run the wires in a flexible loom back to the tourpak.
