eating establishments
Hampton Beach, Rt 1A Purple Urchin, upstairs at Casino. Parking is an issue. But, a great location, overlooking the Seashell stage, ocean beach, and all the action. Bar side, hang over the rail. People watch, Good pub food. Restaurant side excellent menu. Ginger seared scollops over lobster brown mustard rice is my favorite. Prices not bad for view/location.
North Hampton, Rt 1 Al's Seafood. Broiled or fried, top quality products. B & W only. Great bang for buck, downside is gravel parking lot.
Sanbornville, Rt 109 @ Rt 153. Poor Peoples Pub. Good value, decent food. B & W only.
Ossippee, Rt 16 @ Rt 25. Yankee Smokehouse. Not bad Barby !
Above North Conway in Intervale on Rt 16 Scarecrow Pub. Neat MC sculpture out front. Food's average, good value.
North Woodstock, Rt 3 Woodstock Inn & Brew Pub. Best place in NH. Great Inn, awesome breakfast included. Top quality food, at reasonable prices. Maple Sesame Scollops are to die for !
Meredith, Rt 3, just north of Rt 104, Harts Turkey Farm. Home style food. Huge portions. Not cheap, but good value for volume.
Guilford, Rt 11 @ 11B, Patrick's Pub. Excellent Pub menu, won't kill your wallet !

The Lodge at Copperhead (http://www.thelodgeatcopperhead.com/index.cfm?content=1&Menu=1) in Blairsville, GA is fantastic. Bob-Bon Inn at Kanab, UT. The are changing the name sometime to the Willows. If you want a little more room get the 2 bed - rooms. If you don't mind a smaller room they do have them but they are smaller.

Robbers Roost Motel, 325 West Main Street Green River, UT 84525
(435) 564-3452. I like small old motels and though this one seems a bit rundown from the ouside it's very clean and quaint and the young couple that run it are very nice. Plus there are nice views of the giant mesas and a very good steak house in town.

Curleys' Redwood Lodge Crescent City, California.
Across the street from the ocean but no views.
Great for a bike trip. Has covered parking for all rooms, walk to restaurant. Rooms are large and the whole motel (about 30 rooms) was made from one tree!

I am not usually a big fan of chain hotels but the Holiday Inn Express in Kalispell Montana is a cut above most. Cater to bikes, clean rooms, nice gas fire pit for gathering. They provide rags, space and wash down area for bikes.

If you get to Hollister CA about 5 miles from Corbin is a burger joint called RUNNING ROOSTER. $ 14 Cheese Burgers. Let me tell you something, I'd pay $20 if they asked. I compare all burgers to theres. Plus their Garlic fries are insane. It's off San Felipe in the downtown area.

Krambonz BBQ in Tellico Plains, TN. Best BBQ anywhere. Run by a biker couple, huge portions, and nothing but Q from their smokehouse out back. Right on the corner of the cherohala skyway.
Filling station Deli - Bryson City, NC - Homemade breads (atleast 8 different varieties), and huge sandwiches that can feed 2 for subway or less prices. Owner is a biker and a real cool guy.
Soda Pops old fashioned ice cream parlor - Bryson City, NC - Right next door to Filling station and a an amazing place to get some homemade icecream milkshakes. Right now he has seasonal flavors in, and if you are near there I would recommend his seasonal flavor the pumpkin pie cheesecake ice cream. It's amazing.
Amos BBQ - Ballground, GA - Amazing BBQ biscuits for breakfast.
Scott's Walk up BBQ - Cartersville, GA - Some of the Best BBQ Pork around. $5 deal that gets you a nice BBQ pork sandwich, chips, and a drink. If you are there on Friday he has Beef Brisket that is amazing, but only on friday's.
Aunt Sue's Country Corner - Pickens, SC - This is on Scenic 11 and is an amazing place. Amazing good home country cooking.
Strawberry Hill USA - Chesnee, SC - This place has homemade icecream made out of the berries and peaches they grow right outside at their farms. It's a huge patch and orchard. Amazing peach and strawberry ice cream for a cheap price. Great on a hot day.

A few from my recent road trip. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at any one of them in the future.
Best Western Desert Aire
1021 S. White Sands Blvd.
Alamogordo, NM 88310
Very nice, right off US-70. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Large room with a flat screen TV, and a very comfortable king size bed.
Best Western Whitton South
3950 Ridgemont Drive
Abilene, TX 79606
Great motel in a good location close to lots of places to eat and easy freeway access. They offered to let me park my bike in front of the lobby for the night.
Sleep Inn & Suites
6915 I-40 West
Amarillo, TX 79106
Nice motel close to I-40. Had a great complimentary hot breakfast. Only drawback was no decent dining within walking distance. I didn't feel like riding to eat, so I ordered a pizza and had it delivered.
Super 8 Motel
1121 Frontage Rd. NW
Socorro, NM 87801
This is right off the I-25 freeway and right next door to a steak house! Can't beat that. My room was very nice and the rates were good. Offered to let me park my bike in front of the lobby.

http://koa.com/ and http://www.bestwestern.com/rewards/ are usually very good options for accommodation. Bestwestern offers discounts for H-D riders and Nomad riders qualify, too!
http://www.outback.com/ and http://www.redlobster.com are safe choices, we've never been disappointed.
Our favorite places listed by States and Provinces:
Washington:
Best Western Plus Peppertree Inn at Omak, WA, http://www.peppertreeomak.com/ it is a treat whenever we stay there.
El Cazador Mexican Cantina & Grill, Oak Harbor, WA http://www.el-cazador.com/, good food, good value.
Lake Chelan State Park Campground, 7544 S Shore Road Chelan WA, http://www.parks.wa.gov/ Very nice place by the lake.
Oregon:
The Embers Brew House, Joseph, OR http://www.embersbrewhouse.com/home/ absolutely the best burger in western US. It's very close to Hell's Canyon, OR. http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt346/elvis101/IMG_0025.jpg
The Prodigal Son Brewery and Pub, 230 SE Court Avenue Pendleton, OR http://prodigalsonbrewery.com/, excellent burgers and pasta.

California:
Trinidad Bay Eatery and Gallery 607 Parker Street Trinidad, CA http://www.trinidadeatery.com/ great clam chowder and they have a special desert, too.
Fisherman's Market & Grill, 235 South Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA http://www.fishermans.com/ excellent sea food in the middle of the dessert, we were very skeptical before trying out and we were so wrong.
Mt. Lassen/Shingletown KOA, 7749 KOA Rd., Shingletown, CA. http://www.mtlassenrvpark.com the best KOA ever! Great people and they were not joking when they said we were gonna sleep on a very soft straw ground.
Arizona:
Grand Canyon Lodge - North Rim http://www.grandcanyonlodgenorth.com/lodging/ expensive but it was worth it.
New Mexico:
Orlando's http://www.orlandostaos.com/ Located on the Main Road, 1.8 Miles North of Taos Plaza Taos, New Mexico, great flavor and adequately hot New Mexican food.
Sparkys', 115 Franklin Street, Hatch, NM, http://sparkysburgers.com/ roasted chile topped burgers, if they had a location in Vancouver, B.C., I'd go there once a week. (They claim that Hatch, NM is the chile capitol of the World)
World Cup, 102 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte Taos, NM, no website. Excellent coffee, great location, walking distance from the Plaza
Very good pizza and burger at Socorro Springs Brewing Company in Socorro http://socorrosprings.com/
Colorado:

Billy Goat Gruffs Biergarten, 400 Main St., Ouray, CO http://billygoatsouray.com/ Great place! Had German noodles topped with good stuff.
Utah:
Tarahumara, 380 East Main Street, Midway, UT, http://www.tarahumara.biz/menu.html the very best Mexican food outside of Mexico. They have a great salsa bar, simply the best.
Jeffreys Steak House, 218 North 100 West, Moab, Utah http://www.jeffreyssteakhouse.com/ Probably one of the best and most expensive steaks we have ever had.
Nevada:
Holiday Inn Reno-Sparks, NV. We were given a royal treatment there, all discounts applied and free upgrade to their top notch suite plus special parking for our bikes. We extended our stay for another day.
Idaho:
The Shady Nook Restaurant & Lounge, 501 Riverfront Drive, Salmon, Idaho, http://www.theshadynook.com/ Excellent steaks. They have ranches in that part of ID and we'd hoped to get locally grown beef and veggies and found out that they get their beef from the Mid West. Oh well, the steaks were excellent, nevertheless.
Wyoming:
Proud Cut Saloon, 1227 Sheridan Avenue Cody, WY, no website, very good steaks!
Snake River Brewery & Restaurant, 265 S. Millward, Jackson, Wyoming. http://www.snakeriverbrewing.com/ A Brewery & Restaurant, just the way I like it.

The Spearfish Chophouse and Whiskey Bar, 523 Spearfish Canyon Road, Spearfish, SD, http://spearfishchophouse.com/ Great place to have lunch, my fried walleye was excellent.
The Alpine Inn and Restaurant, 133 Main St. Hill City, SD http://alpineinnhillcity.com Their dinner menu is one item only: Filet Mignon. Enough said. There was a long line up and we could not wait long enough to eat there but will certainly try again next time we're in the Black Hills of SD.
North Dakota:
Pizza Palace, 285 3rd Avenue Medora, ND, no website, good pizza, good value, great ambiance.
Montana:
Whitefish Coffeehouse, 110 Central Ave, Whitefish, MT, a good place to have a coffee break
Alberta:
Smuggler’s Inn, 6920 Macleod Trail South, Calgary, Alberta, http://www.smugglersinn.ca/ The largest steak I ever had, 18 or 20 oz. Shouldn't have started with the soup and salad bar. The steak was good, my wife liked the prime rib.
British Columbia:
No place like home and we rarely eat outside. When we do, we enjoy eating at the following restaurants:
http://www.kegsteakhouse.com
http://www.burgerheaven.ca/
http://www.pajos.com probably the best fish and chips in the Greater Vancouver area

Hey boss Trip, may I make a suggestion before this thread gets out of hand? Could everyone that replies on this thread each time they want to add another suggestion to just "Edit" their reply so we don't get a gazillion replies on this thread....
Here's my Favorite places:
#1. Fall Creek Falls State Park [ http://www.stateparks.com/fall_creek_falls.html ]
The Park Inn has a AWESOME restaurant in it. As well as camping or motel lodging.
#2. Sunset Inn in Panama City Beach FL. [ http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g34543-d251742-Reviews-Sunset_Inn-Panama_City_Beach_Florida.html ]
Thanks Tom, we stayed here in 2011 and enjoyed it the owner is a Biker and they were nice folks...
#3. Tellico Beach Drive Inn [ http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g55374-d1478662-Reviews-Tellico_Beach_Drive_In-Tellico_Plains_Tennessee.html ] Next time your planning to ride The Cherohala Skyway check this place out (only be sure and bring cash) they don't take plastic. How do you get the discount at bestwestern?
They have a reward program that anyone can sign up: http://www.bestwestern.com/rewards/
And when you check in, just tell them that you are a rider and inquire about the H-D discount. Most of the front desk personnel don't care about what you ride, (my wife rides a Suzuki C50 and I used to ride a Nomad).
Bestwesterns are the most rider-friendly hotels we've been to. They allow you to park your bike(s) right at the front door which is almost always covered. And the night shift also keeps an eye on your bikes.

One of the benefits of being a HOG member (other than riding a badass motorcycle) is the discounts at a number of businesses. One of them being Best Western. I seem to remember you need a HOG membership number to get the discount, at least if you reserve online like I always do.

I've stayed in these best western's the past few weeks and they all have been nice:
Best Western Cades Cove Inn - 7824 East Lamar Alexander Parkway Townsend, TN 37882 - Very nice place. Has parking right in front of the room so you can keep an eye on your bike. Also has nice rocking chairs outside rooms to chill on and look at the mountains. They let you park your bike up on the sidewalk too under the overhangs. Subway and eateries across the street and minutes from the smoky mountains/foothills parkway.
Best Western Carowinds - 3675 Foothills Way Fort Mill, SC 29708 - Only stayed here when the park is closed (offseason), but it was cheap, new, and clean. They let me park my bike on the sidewalk under the front awning right infront of their office window so they could watch it all night for me. Very nice staff. KFC/Mexican/And subway all half a block walk. Right off I-77.
Best Western Lake Hartwell Inn & Suites - 1357 E Franklin St Hartwell, GA 30643 - Nice clean rooms and cheap in the offseason. Can park in view of alot of rooms. Food and a walmart/ingles within walking distance.

If you ride in East Tennessee, and ride the Devils Triangle (Near Petros and Oliver Springs), eat lunch or dinner at the Brushy Mountain Market. It is near the old Brushy Mountain Prison (shut down so no worries). They have burgers and other foods, and EXCELLENT desserts!!!! The Super Brushy Burger is over 1/2 pound (I think) with all the fixings and a side for around $7. Get a drink and it's under $10....Wait, you think that's alot? My wife and I split it and are still full!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah!!!!!! Then, if you haven't ridden the Triangle, then you are in for a treat....IMO better than the dragon, switchback after switchback, and VERY LITTLE TRAFFIC.....1/2 of it is FRESH blacktop too!!!! No big trucks, especially on the weekends!!!!! Love this ride for sure....It's a full days ride from where I live to get there, ride it and get back, but the lunch is awesome and the ride is even better!!!!!

When riding in North Georgia, stop by and eat or camp at Two Wheels of Suches. It had been a roadside attraction for many years before about 2011 when the owners closed it. It sat for several years but late last year, new owners bought the place and the surrounding land, beefed it up and its better than ever.
Great food in the restaurant. Located at 1915 State Highway 60, Suches, Georgia 30572, it is a hub for a bunch of other destinations up here.

While travelling the Yellowhead Highway #16 to Tofino British Columbia a week ago, stopped at a place called Little Fort BC .(Near Barrier and Kamloops BC) Breez Inn is the Motel and is good, clean and reasonable priced. Just been renovated. Along with it is a campground and a diner called The High Five. Diner has new owners the past year, lots of truckers stopping there and the food is absolutely awesome and huge portions. Schnitzel fills the plate and the extras that come for $12 is incredible. The pie is 4 to 5 inches high and one slice is a meal. Ham comes from a real ham and is very tasty. Service is great and waitresses are friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed. If you and Ma don't eat a lot, you can get by with one order of the main course and the piece of pie (Banana Cream-the best) plus a dozen other kinds will serve 3 persons to a slice.Enjoy!!!
