I am considering purchasing a motorcycle lift (not the big ride on table type) with an Idaho adapter. What do you recommend and why? Sears, Harbor Freight, etc.

I'm satisfied with my Sears lift and my friend has a Harbour frt lift and they look identical except for color.
They probably all come out of the same factory in China.

They're all very similar. I'd just look for a good deal.

There are occasional specials on the HF yellow lift. A bunch of us got them for $60 plus $6 shipping a while back. I think the current deal is $70. Don't know what current shipping is.
I have this one by Craftman http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00950191000P?mv=rr
I think the HF is the same, but at the time, Sears actually had a better price. I think I got it 2 years ago for $149. I like the fact that I can roll it under the bike, then straddle the bike and take up the slack due to the long handle (which is removable for storage) then get off the bike and strap it and then take it to whatever working height I need.
Also has 6 locking heights. IT has worked well for my Nomad, the wife's C50, and the zero turn mower on blade changes. Very stable and seems well built. Also, if I remmber, the contact areas were a little wider than the other styles.
this mine 149.

Most of the ones Ive seen are all about the same, you can usually find them on sale for about $59.00.
