My 06 nomad radiator developed a leak at a weld on its lower mount. The bike had 10 days left on the extended warrenty, from when I bought it new. The radiator its self was 450 dollars, not to mention the labor which would have been added. Boy, I lucked out on that one. ronnie

Sometimes you just have to be in the right place and the right time.
Two wheels down and stay safe.

The rads rarely give any problems, but its nice that you had warranty.

I just had a very similar problem- I must have let it hit the floor when I had it out to do a hose change . bent the drain plug tit - Can i say tit ? I made a batch of JB weld & put a layer there & around the posts that fit into the grommets . No more leak for a couple weeks now

I developed a leak also in the same place, one of the lower "locating dowels / tits". Didn't realize till the bike started to overheat during biketoberfest last year. My bike had no warrenty so i took the radiator to a radiator shop and they welded it up for me.

How's the coolant system on these bikes work, anyway. I never gave it any thought before. Do they have a water pump ? Do they build up pressure like an automobile ?

Yes, and yes. The water pump is on the right side, near the base of the front cylinder.
