View Full Version : Ultimate Midrider seat install on Vaquero

ENJOY!

Install Kit
Nylon washer spacers = 4 pcs.
Top rear fender bracket = 1 pc.
Button head 1/4” x 5/8" bolts = 2 pcs.
Nyloc nuts 1/4” = 2 pcs.
Washers 1/4” flat = 2 pcs.
Allan key 4 mm = 1 pc.

Remove stock seat

1. Remove the left (clutch) side saddle bag (10 mm socket) 2 bolts inside

2. Disconnect the cable from the latch and the cable fastener (10 mm wrench)

3. Remove the latch assembly from the rail (two Philip head screws)

Store the plate that the cable was attached to, no longer needed.
4. Reposition the cable under the frame rail and then reconnect to the latch

5. Reinstall the latch assembly (Philip head screws) with the two nylon washers between the latch and rail, these replace the plate that you removed.

6. Install the two 1/4" x 5/8" bolts and washers under the fender, while holding the bolts in place in the two holes install the two nylon washers and upper rear fender bracket and secure with the two supplied nyloc nuts.

7. Install your new Ultimate rider seat by locating the front seat bracket under the tank locater and rear bracket onto the locater pins.

7. To install your new Ultimate passenger seat, locate the rear seat bracket into the rear fender bracket and push down on the front of the seat to lock into the key lock. Make sure it clicks into the lock.

So, What was it you disliked about the seat? from a purely visual aspect I think the stock seat looks nicer.

Wasn't 600 dollars better than my stock seat... Ass didn't go numb but did have some discomfort... You could see the rear seat bracket

For $600 it should have powdered your ass every 10 miles. :D

Yes sir! so you understand my issue...mildly better seat...or PCV with an air kit!

I think the rider and passenger seat, without back rest was $525.
